Gypsum is an excellent source of calcium and sulfur for plant and soil health. We prefer to use fast acting pelletized gypsum to help improve soil structure, this allows for an increase in oxygen and water penetration. It is also much easier to mix with soil and get a even spread.

Pelletized gypsum is a much easier form of gypsum to apply and work with. It helps stimulate microorganism growth and alleviates blossom end rot. We recommend using a tablespoon per gallon or 1 cup per cubic foot. The nutrient content is:

  • Calcium (Ca): 21%
  • Sulfur (S): 14%
  • Calcium Sulfate (CaSo4): 68%
  • Water Soluble Binder-lignosulfonate: 2%
